Since European hair wigs are made using the finest human hair on the market, the care for such wigs is very similar to the care of one’s own hair.  Heat products, such as curling iron, straight irons and blow dryers can be used. A European hair wig, if worn every day, should be washed once a month.

Here are washing instructions for a European Hair wig:

1)      Place the wig on a styrofoam head and secure it with T-pins.

2)      Place the head (with the wig on it) under a faucet of lukewarm water.

3)      Use a good quality shampoo for dry, coloured or damaged hair. When shampooing the wig, do not scrub; rather comb the shampoo in a downward fashion.

4)      Rinse the shampoo, until the water is clear

5)      Apply a good quality conditioner, for dry, damaged, or coloured hair. www.pickawig.com recommends the following conditioners: Paul Mitchell, Redken. Kerastase, Goldwell.   Comb the conditioner in a downward pattern.  Don’t’ apply the conditioner to close to the roots of the hair. Make sure to apply a generous amount of conditioner on the inside hair.

6)      Leave conditioner for twenty minutes.

7)      Rinse off conditioner until water is clear

      Remove the wig from the Styrofoam head.

9)      Towel dry the  wig

10)   Replace wig on styrofoam head and brush hair to desired shape.

11)   Let wig air dry 60%, and then use any desired heat elements to style the wig.

For day to day wear, a European hair wig should be brushed a least twice a day, just like regular hair. To spruce up a European Hair wig, reblow dry it, use a curling iron, or a flat iron.  European hairs can take on as many styles, if not more, then your regular hair.
